All of you show up. Or all of you pay.
A pact is the strongest version of Good Either Way: you and up to four friends commit to the same sessions each month, each with your own stake riding on the group.
Start with your crewThe deal, in plain numbers
Pact of 4 sessions a month at $10 a session. You do 4 of 4. Your friend does 2 of 4. The group is judged by its worst member — so you BOTH pay $20, each to your own chosen charity. Nobody rides free, and nobody's perfect month protects them from the group. That's the point: now their sessions are your business.
Money never pools and never crosses between members. Your card, your currency, your charity, your regret window — the pact shares only the pass or fail. Friends in Australia and Norway can pact together; each side pays in their own money to their own cause.
Commitment stakes are one of the best-evidenced motivation tools there is: in a large field experiment, gym-goers who put their own money on the line kept exercising at higher rates long after the incentive ended (Royer, Stehr & Sydnor, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, 2015). A pact adds the other proven lever — people you'd hate to let down.
Fair questions
What if someone quits, loses their card, or deletes their account mid-month?
That month dissolves back to individual judgment: everyone is charged only for their own misses. Nobody ever pays for a quitter — forgiveness is the failure mode.
Can I leave a pact?
Anytime, effective from next month. The month you already started still counts — past months are locked, that's a product law.
Can friends in different countries pact together?
Yes. Each member pays in their own currency to their own charity. Only the pass/fail is shared.
Does the regret window still apply?
Yes — the 1st to the 5th, on your own charge, exactly like a solo month.
How is the money split?
Exactly like every other charge here: 80% to your charity, 20% to us — and we say so out loud everywhere.
What if I get sick or injured mid-month?
Tap "I give up" or pause, any time. That month the whole pact is judged individually — nobody pays for your sick days, and your own month follows the normal forgiving exits.
